Summit Aviation has a full-service facility dedicated to the assembly of complex multilevel aerospace structures and sub-assemblies. Whether it’s simple sheet metal sub-assembly or a complex multilevel assembly, we’ve got the workforce and the production capacity to handle everything from simple bench top to major jig-level assembly projects.
Our team’s high level of expertise in building major structures and complex sub-assemblies sets us apart from the numerous aircraft parts manufacturers in the marketplace. The assembly team employs a seamless, fully integrated approach to maximize quality, efficiency and performance. Using sophisticated processes and procedures, we design and develop assembly processes, tools and fixtures. We create visual work instructions, develop/implement Kanban systems to support the in-process kit and manage an integrated supply chain.
Our staff is continually training and developing new techniques to stay on top of our customers’ needs. We retain substantial experience in the latest assembly technologies, including riveting, sealing, bearing and bushing installation, all of which is encompassed in a lean kitting process that ensures that all components of an assembly are ready for production when needed.
We have successfully maintained and executed many programs for Sikorsky Aircraft and Northrop Grumman just to name a few.
