Tom Lark has over two decades of operations and aerospace experience with expertise in manufacturing, rotorcraft completions, aircraft customizations, and MRO management in commercial and military segments. He’s responsible for the overall operations at Summit’s Middletown, Delaware, and Greensboro, North Carolina facilities.
Mr. Lark's career history includes several senior leadership roles with companies such as Sanmina Corporation, Chromalloy Gas Turbine, Sikorsky Aerospace, and Ranger Aerospace.
A United States Military Academy graduate of West Point, New York, Mr. Lark served in the United States Army as an aviation officer specializing in aircraft and component MRO at the intermediate and depot levels. Also known for his business acumen, he has a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a Certificate in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University.
Joyce Morales has been employed by Summit Aviation since 1987 and has served as the Chief Financial Officer since 2002. Joyce started at Summit Aviation as the Assistant to the Controller and was promoted to Assistant Treasurer and then to Chief Financial Officer, a position in which she oversees all activities of the accounting department including budgets, forecasts, contracts, business valuations, acquisitions, taxation, financial planning and audits as well as facility security. Joyce is a senior-level executive with extensive hands-on experience with business management and leadership. Joyce holds a bachelor 's of arts degree in business administration from Washington College. Adept at finance, human resources, marketing, public relations and partnership building, Joyce is a highly motivated leader with an established record of success within a significantly growing company.
Robert Flansburg is Summit Aviation's Director of Operations. His career in aviation spans nearly 35 years. His tenure at renowned aviation entities such as Dassault Falcon Jet, Sikorsky, Leonardo Helicopters, Boeing Vertical Lift, and others has helped hone his industry expertise in aerospace maintenance, repair, completions and operations. Recognized as a high-integrity, energetic leader, Robert is adept at envisioning and realizing successful outcomes in complex scenarios.
John Gonsalves joined Summit Aviation’s leadership team in 2020 as director of sales. He began his sales and marketing career as a regional manager offering aircraft maintenance and modification service work for Bombardier Aerospace. Throughout his career, John has served in various levels of upper management, including leading the Bombardier Factory Service Sales and Marketing Organization worldwide, as well as sales director for specialized aircraft, government aircraft sales. To John, aviation is more than a job; it’s a lifelong passion pursued in his career.
Dan Robinson, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, has over 20 years of experience in aviation operations, aerospace, and foreign military sales, including diplomatic roles in Southeast Asia. He also specializes in CH-47 and C12 aircraft and has a background in foreign policy and security cooperation. Prior to Summit, Robinson held leadership positions at GBG Group, IDology, and JTEK Data Solutions, driving success through his military and civilian expertise. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Towson University, an MBA from Auburn University, and a Management Certificate from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. Robinson is based in Huntsville, Alabama.
Lynn Trent has been the Human Resource Manager at Summit Aviation since June 2010. She has more than 20 years of human resource experience, 12 of which have been in a leadership role. Lynn’s areas of expertise include program planning and implementation, process and procedure writing, employee relations, recruitment and retention, leadership and employee development, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation and developing training and compliance programs to promote continuous learning and organizational growth. Lynn holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wesley College and has a Professional Human Resources Management Certificate from Villanova University.
Darrell Smith has been a part of Summit’s Quality Management team since 2019. He has over 40 years of aviation experience. His career began in the United States Marine Corps, followed by numerous Quality Management positions at both The Boeing Company and most recently Lockheed Martin/Sikorsky helicopter company. Darrell holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University and has received several awards for “Diversity and Inclusion.”
David Novak joined Summit Aviation in 2010. As the director of IT, David manages the information security and infrastructure of Summit Aviation sites in DE, KY and NC. He develops the IT strategy for the company, creating policies and implementing processes to ensure network connectivity, data security, and compliance with government and agency standards. He provides IT expertise for enterprise-wide projects and works with the management team to advance the mission of Summit Aviation. Adept at risk management and skilled in threat identification, David also serves as the cybersecurity lead where he is responsible for testing the security of digital and physical assets at all Greenwich AeroGroup sites. David is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Western Governors University and a bachelor’s degree in Information Resource Management from Wilmington University. He also maintains several professional certifications for IT leadership, cyber threat management and forensic investigations.
