Vice President/General Manager
Ralph Kunz has served as the Vice President/General Manager of Summit Aviation since June 2012 and offers more than 26 years of aviation experience and 12 years of helicopter management experience. Ralph gained his business expertise being on the senior leadership of companies such as Keystone/Sikorsky Helicopters, Vector Aerospace and Parker Hannifin; and serving as Vice President of Operations for Airborne Tactical Advantage Company. As the Vice President/General Manager of Summit Aviation, Ralph is responsible for overseeing the operations of three facilities: Summit Aviation MRO in Middletown, Delaware; Summit Aviation Manufacturing in Somerset, Kentucky; and TruAtlantic Manufacturing in Kernersville, North Carolina. Ralph holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of Southern California and a bachelor’s of science engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University.
|Joyce Price Morales
Chief Financial Officer
Joyce Morales has been employed by Summit Aviation since 1987 and has served as the Chief Financial Officer since 2002. Joyce started at Summit Aviation as the Assistant to the Controller and was promoted to Assistant Treasurer and then to Chief Financial Officer, a position in which she oversees all activities of the accounting department including budgets, forecasts, contracts, business valuations, acquisitions, taxation, financial planning and audits as well as facility security. Joyce is a senior-level executive with extensive hands-on experience with business management and leadership. Joyce holds a bachelor ‘s of arts degree in business administration from Washington College. Adept at finance, human resources, marketing, public relations and partnership building, Joyce is a highly motivated leader with an established record of success within a significantly growing company.
Director of Government and Defense Services
Wes Schroeder has 34 years’ experience in rotor wing maintenance and operations. While employed at Summit Aviation, Mr. Schroeder has held positions from mechanic to Director. As Director, he oversees aircraft refurbishments, flight testing, completions and modification of government aircraft and production aircraft from the OEM. He interfaces with Defense Contract Agency Management representatives to ensure contract performance. Wes is retired from the U.S. Army, where he performed in numerous leadership roles such as flight engineer, quality control supervisor and production control supervisor, culminating in his assignment as a Brigade-level Senior Trainer. Mr. Schroeder holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and studied at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a highly inquisitive and motivated leader whose success can be seen in the financial growth of his department and the growing relationships with his customers.
Director of Aircraft Services
John Bonnell has been with Summit Aviation since 1991. As the Director of Aircraft Services, he is responsible for overseeing all activities in General Aviation. John previously served as the Director of Maintenance for Summit Aviation for 15 years, and the Director of Business Development for 5 years. Before joining Summit Aviation, John was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. John holds an active FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
Human Resource Manager
Lynn Trent has been the Human Resource Manager at Summit Aviation since June 2010. She has more than 20 years of human resource experience, 12 of which have been in a leadership role. Lynn’s areas of expertise include program planning and implementation, process and procedure writing, employee relations, recruitment and retention, leadership and employee development, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation and developing training and compliance programs to promote continuous learning and organizational growth. Lynn holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wesley College and has a Professional Human Resources Management Certificate from Villanova University.
Director of Quality
Andy Bullock has been the Director of Quality at Summit Aviation since 2013 and is responsible for quality systems and environmental, health and safety programs. Andy joined the aviation industry more than 20 years ago and specializes in leadership, production, project management, quality assurance and customer service. Prior to Summit Aviation, Andy served as General Manager for Hawker Beechcraft Services in Atlanta, Georgia; and Director of Quality at Savannah Air Center in Savannah, Georgia. Andy studied at John Brown University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and is currently nearing completion on his master’s degree at Wilmington University.
Director of Manufacturing
Scott Roush is the Director of Manufacturing at Summit Aviation and has more than 20 years of manufacturing leadership experience and has worked closely with the US Japanese automotive industry to learn its continuous improvement tools to provide innovative solutions for difficult sourcing problems. Scott has previously held operations management positions at both UGN Automotive and Duraflame. Scott completed his collegiate studies at Purdue University and has extensive operations and lean manufacturing experience.
